FASHION background:

 

Alistair Cowin was educated in England, studied architecture but took up fashion design on leaving University. In the early 80’s, his interest changed to recording fashion instead of creating it and he opened his first fashion photographic studio in Knightsbridge.  Alistair then moved to the U.S.A. to pursue his photographic career. After a 12 year stint in Los Angeles. he moved to Miami where he opened a unique studio complex called Center Stage.  In 1998 he started experimenting with digital images and finally returned to Europe to spread the word about the marvels of digital photography.

 

International experience:

Now working between France and the UK and also shooting in the USA, Alistair has become an expert in this field and as well as shooting digitally, he also writes about digital imagery for a number of well known publications.  Alistair specialises these days in the beauty field and is generally acknowledged as one of the very best specialist beauty photographers currently working.

 

WEDDINGS - with a sense of humour and a subtle approach:

 

As well as his fashion and beauty work, Alistair has now turned his exceptional talent to shooting weddings.  His fashion experience has given him the ability to record events with a uniquely stylish eye.  And he does all this with an astonishingly light touch, a relaxing sense of humour and a minimum of fuss.

 

From St Pauls Cathedral in London to St Pierres Chapel in Chepstow:

His skill has been quickly recognised and within the space of just a few of years Alistair has shot weddings in both Westminster and St Paul’s Cathedrals in London, Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, Castle Ashby in Northamptonshire, Chatsworth in Derbyshire, Farm Street Mayfair, Alexander House in Sussex, The Botanical Gardens in the West Midlands, the Celtic Manor in Newport as well as many, many more similarly wonderful wedding venues.
